This workshop will prepare participants to take the Google Educator Level 1 certification exam. Certification indicates a fundamental understanding of using Google Tools in the classroom and confirms standard technology implementation skills. This workshop is designed for teachers that have a solid base of implementing the Google tools in their classroom and is not designed as an introduction to Google tools. Educators who pass the certification test can advertise their status with a personalized certificate and badge. Certification lasts 36 months. Participants should bring a Chromebook or laptop to the workshop.

From recording reading fluency, to developing storytelling skills, to demonstrating , G Suite for Education can be used in a myriad of ways in the elementary classroom. This workshop will focus specifically on using G Suite for Edu at the PK-3 grade levels. We will explore apps and strategies specific to young learners to empower them as creators of their own learning artifacts. Participants should bring a Chromebook or laptop to the workshop.

This workshop is meant to provide your school with checklists, tools, and resources based around the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Cyber-security Framework (CSF). We will examine the NIST CST's five main areas of Identity, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover as well as the 23 categories and 108 sub-categories to make your school more cybersecure. The intended audience is Administration, Curriculum Leaders, and Technology Leaders.

Have you been looking for a way to bring critical thinking, problem solving, coding, and STEM into your classroom? Look no further than the Piper computer kit! ROE 49 now has Piper computer kits available for educators to check out and use with their students. These kits allow students to build and program their own computers out of simple materials. During this hands-on workshop, teachers will construct a Piper computer using the provided kit. E-Rate applicants file an FCC Form 471 to request discounts on eligible products and services. Applicants must include information on the recipients of services, discount calculations, costs of service, dates of service, and service provider(s). Please be prepared to provide detailed descriptions of services; and certify compliance with program rules. Applicants must have a 470 filed at least 28 days before filing the 471. After that 28 day window, contracts may be signed, and additional details needed for the application can be discussed with the chosen providers.
