One Size Does Not Fit All – Readily Available Resources to Support UDL
February 8 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pmFree
At its very core, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) offers educators a versatile framework for creating flexible learning environments and accommodating individual learning needs. This 1-hour webinar, hosted by Jennifer Skalitzky, will introduce participants to UDL and its three basic tenants – multiple means of representation, multiple means of expression, and multiple means of engagement. Jennifer will also outline how educational technology can be appraised and implemented through a UDL lens, across grade levels and in numerous subject areas. Participants will walk away with a fresh collection of resources that will help them harness UDL’s potential in the near-term, especially in the domains of reading and writing.
1. Participants will be able to list the 3 main components of UDL and how UDL applies to all learners.
2. Participants will be able to match the features of technology to UDL checkpoints to benefit all learners.
3. Participants will know how to integrate technology into curricular activities to facilitate UDL.
Illinois educators who attend live can earn 1.0 PD credit.
Jenn Skalitzky serves as an Assistive Technology Facilitator for Infinitec.
