Newsela Summer Workshop 2024

Summer Workshop is Newsela’s annual back-to-school kickoff where we bring together our community of teachers and administrators across our suite of products, including Newsela ELA, Newsela Social Studies, Newsela Science, and for the first time, Formative.
From building student knowledge and skills in core subject areas to supporting daily instruction and assessment, our products help teachers engage, support, and grow every learner.
So join us as we share our latest product updates and help you hit the ground running when school starts. You’ll learn directly from fellow teachers on best classroom practices, get a chance for hands-on experience, and participate in our keynote session, with a speaker you won’t want to miss.

July 18th: In-Person Newsela and Formative Certification
This year, we’re taking Summer Workshops on the road.
We’ll be setting up pop-up events in Cincinnati, Chicago, Austin, and Portland (OR), where you’ll have a chance to become a Newsela and/or a Formative Certified Educator over a catered lunch. We’ll celebrate your “graduation” with a happy hour networking event with our local community.
