Are you ready to take your Google Educator skills to the next level? Reserve your spot today and join a Google Educator Level 1 cohort! In this cohort, we will break down the Google Educator Level 1 Certification Exam into smaller monthly workshops while preparing you to take and pass the exam. Each session will cover different Google-related topics, including Chrome and Slides, Drive and Docs, Gmail and Calendar, Classroom and Meet, Forms and Sheets, YouTube and Sites, and finally, test prep tips.
Level 1 certification indicates a fundamental understanding of using Google Tools in the classroom and confirms standard technology implementation skills. Educators who pass the certification test will be able to promote their status with a personal certificate and badge. Certification lasts 36 months.
This cohort, hosted by LTC South Regional EdTech Coordinator Joe Cipfl will meet virtually on a monthly basis (see below for dates and times). The cohort will provide a total of 15 PD hours. PD hours will be provided at the conclusion of the cohort.

Joe Cipfl is a Regional Educational Technology Coordinator for the Learning Technology Center. He facilitates professional learning events regionally; provides consultation and support to school districts related to digital learning, technology integration, and technology infrastructure; and develops instructional materials for educators throughout the southern Illinois region and the state. Joe is a veteran educator in both K-12 and higher education in the areas of science and technology and is a frequent presenter on instructional and educational technology. He is a certified teacher, a certified school administrator, and certified Google Educator. Before his role as Regional Coordinator, Joe was a science/technology teacher, university instructor, and building-level technology coordinator.
