Helping Students Navigate Group Chat Drama

Tue. February 11, 2025 | 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm CST

Group chats are a popular way for students to socialize, but they can also bring drama, misunderstandings, and distractions — from FOMO to gossip and beyond.

Educators can help students learn to navigate these ever-present conversations, one text at a time. Join us as we learn how to address drama, foster stronger relationships, and empower students to group chat confidently.

Along the way, we’ll also look at common related issues like cyberbullying, boundary setting, and fostering self-confidence.

With these timely insights, educators can facilitate ongoing conversations with students about healthy online interactions, as well as equip students with strategies for respectfully handling group chat drama before it gets out of hand.

Illinois educators who register here and attend live through Streamyard can earn 1.0 PD credit.
