Be Connected: eSports – Technical Setup
May 18 @ 1:00 pm - 1:45 pmFree
Each year, eSports becomes a larger and more lucrative part of the world sporting ecosystem, with leagues offering major cash prizes and opportunities for fulfilling careers. Your students may have aspirations of participating in one of these leagues, and if your district is supporting those goals with an eSports team, you may be asked to get them off the ground technically.
Whether your district is starting a new eSports team or already has a fledgling eSports club in place, this week’s Be Connected is for you! Join host Chris Wherley to learn about the types of hardware, peripherals, networks, and setups needed to operate a successful eSports squad. Participants are also encouraged to share their questions, stories, and experiences so that we can all work towards being an ally to our district’s eSports athletes.
Be Connected is a weekly webinar series from the LTC focused on facilitating open discussions about pertinent topics within Illinois’ edtech community. Hosted by the LTC’s Chris Wherley and/or Eric Muckensturm each session will focus on a specific topic and provide space for participants to ask and answer questions in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Each week will feature a different core topic and a fresh opportunity to connect with your peers. So, be sure to check the LTC events calendar routinely so that you can join in the discussion and Be Connected.
