Technology skills and the 4Cs (communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical-thinking) can be found at the heart of many popular learning frameworks today. Discover how to harness them together, from theory to job-embedded practice, during this inaugural microcredential course!
Microcredentials offer an innovative way for educators to engage with self-directed, competency-based learning that converts theory into artifact-supported mastery. This microcredntial stack is made of four badges, covering each of the 4Cs core competencies. Participants can pick and choose badges that meet their interest or complete all four badges to earn an ISBE-approved certification for their Professional Educator’s License (PEL).
All learning in this microcredential is also self-paced, so educators can take part in high-quality, engaging professional learning that fits their busy schedule.
Educators who successfully complete this microcredential will:
- Survey and discuss recent research about communication skills in the classroom.
- Explore ways that technology can support learning-focused collaboration skills.
- Create, deliver, and critique one or more lessons that build technology-supported critical-thinking skills.
- Reflect upon and summarize how their work in this microcredential will improve their practice and their students’ learning.
Cost: $50 per course
