This 2-day workshop (July 12-13) will prepare participants to take the Google Educator Level 1 Certification Exam. Level 1 certification indicates a fundamental understanding of using Google Tools in the classroom and confirms standard technology implementation skills. Educators who pass the certification test will be able to advertise their status with a renewable personalized certificate and badge.
In addition to exam prep, this workshop is an excellent way to fill any gaps in knowledge of Google tools, develop your skillset to better integrate technology into your classroom, and build your confidence as an educator of 21st-century learners.
Basic experience in using Google for Education tools is required as this is not designed as a first-time introduction to all of Google Workspace. Participants should bring a Chromebook or laptop to the workshop, with access to their Google for Education account.
Apps we learn about will include: Google Chrome, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Classroom, Gmail, Meet, Calendar, Tasks, Groups, Keep, Sites, and YouTube. Additional topics include digital citizenship, technology integration strategies, and information about the exam.
Participants engaging in both workshop days will receive a $10 voucher towards their Level 1 Google Certification Exam.
