Presenter Biography
Matt taught 7th grade science and language arts for 10 years before becoming a Junior High Assistant Principal for 3. The next five years were spent as a technology integration specialist for a K-8 district with 3500 students. He was responsible for introducing teachers to technology integration with iPads as the main device. He currently works providing face-to-face PD for teachers in the 13 counties of Area 5, developing online content for TeachIllinois.com, and organizing the annual Directions Conference. He is the host of the Teachers’ Classroom podcast.
Matt has a Masters in Education Administration (McKendree University), graduate work in Ornamental Horticulture (University of Florida), and a Bachelors in Biology (Grinnell College). He has presented at METC, IETC, MoreNet, and ICE conferences.
