Presenter Biography
Karrin Burns is an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), Google for Education Certifed Trainer, author, presenter, web developer, and novice iOS app developer. She is a Grade 3 teacher at Lincoln School in River Forest, Illinois.
Karrin enjoys using inquiry-based learning and design-thinking in her classroom to maximize student learning as well as encourage connections between students and communities. She is the author of Cultivating a Culture of Collaboration and Creativity in the Classroom
and co-author of Literacy: The K-3 Literacy Project (both available on Apple Books).
She believes #EveryoneCanCode, and teaches coding to her students.

Karrin has an undergraduate degree in French from University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s degree in Teaching Elementary Education from National-Louis University.
