Nicole Zumpano, Regional Educational Technology Coordinator. Nicole is a National Board Certified Teacher as well as an adjunct professor at three universities. Within her 26 years in education, Nicole has served on two board of directors and has been nominated for and/or received several awards for excellence in teaching. She has 15 years of classroom experience along with 10 years of instructional coaching experience. Nicole holds Masters degrees in Administration & Supervision and Technology in Education. Lisa Schwartz is the Regional Educational Technology Coordinator in central Illinois for the Learning Technology Center. Prior to joining the LTC, she was an educator in Quincy Public Schools. Lisa is passionate about meaningful professional development and creating teacher and student leaders. She facilitates professional learning events regionally and statewide; provides consultation and support to school districts related to digital learning and technology integration; and develops instructional materials for school administrators, teachers, and students throughout the region and the state. She is a certified teacher, a Google for Education Certified Trainer, a Google Certified Educator, and an Apple Education Trainer. She holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Quincy University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University.
Joe Cipfl is a Regional Educational Technology Coordinator for the Learning Technology Center. He facilitates professional learning events regionally; provides consultation and support to school districts related to digital learning, technology integration, and technology infrastructure; and develops instructional materials for educators throughout the southern Illinois region and the state. Joe is a veteran educator in both K-12 and higher education in the areas of science and technology and is a frequent presenter on instructional and educational technology. He is a certified teacher, a certified school administrator, and certified Google Educator. Before his role as Regional Coordinator, Joe was a science/technology teacher, university instructor, and building-level technology coordinator.
Ben Sondgeroth, Regional Educational Technology Coordinator. Ben began his career as a history teacher in Morrison, IL where he initiated and coordinated the district’s iPad pilot program, redesigning the curriculum to effectively integrate the new technology. During this time, he developed a passion for sharing with other teachers exciting new ways to use technology in education.
That passion led Ben to be a national Instructor and presenter, allowing him to work with thousands of educators every year across the country. Now working for the Illinois Learning Technology Center, his focus is on helping schools and districts in Illinois leverage digital learning effectively. He has presented at regional and national conferences such as FETC, ISTE, ICE, and many more. He holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Technology Education Reform (University of Illinois) and a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education (University of Indianapolis).
