Brief Bio

Tom Steele is the Technology Director for Manteno School District. He has over 30 years of experience in IT> He was also an adjunct professor at Kankakee Community College teaching various technology courses for 12 years. He has several industry certifications. While working for the I-KAN Regional Office of Education, Tom was part of the group that created the first Illinois Tech Plan structure and progress guidelines.

Tom served 3 terms as a school board member and is an active member of the IL Skyward Steering Committee having served as both Vice-President and President. He was the K-12 representative on the Illinois Century Network Policy Committee for 3 years.
