De-Escalation Strategies in Tough Tech Times

Learn to de-escalate concerns regarding technology issues through a series of positive techniques and social-emotional resources.  We have all experienced someone who is upset that a technology tool is not working correctly and have to absorb someone else’s frustrations while troubleshooting a technology issue.

The session will be focused on communication strategies that allow us to work collaboratively to de-escalate while maintaining respect.  These strategies will be geared towards ways to use empathy with the person(s) experiencing technology frustrations in a dignified manner.

Learning Objectives

By attending this session, attendees will gain additional communication tools focused on de-escalating a technology issue that someone is experiencing in a respectful and dignified manner.
