Participants will decide on what the purpose of their virtual space will be: Is it a classroom that acts as a central location of information for students and parents? Are they creating a digital library for their students? Are they taking their students on a virtual field trip to an exotic or fun location? Are they creating an engaging learning activity? Based on their room’s function, they will learn how to create a visually appealing scene to enable those functions and more!
Learning Objectives
Attendees will learn how to create a colorful, comfortable, and welcoming virtual space that will help to instill some of the “normal” that may be missing for their students; transform a Google Slide into an interactive space; apply backgrounds and layer objects to create a space that is enticing and engaging for any learner; and link the objects within their spaces to create an interactive “virtual hub” of information, materials, web links, and more!
