We invite educators, technology leaders, innovators, and everyone with a role in K-12 edtech to share their expertise to an eager audience of peers.

Whether you’re passionate about instructional technology, data privacy, AI, STEM, or or another relevant topic, this is your opportunity to share strategies, projects, and initiatives that have brought tech-powered learning to life at your school.

Who Reads our Content

We strive to inform and engage everyone with a hand in K-12 educational technology, as well as those passionate about supporting technology-powered learning.

Our primary audiences include classroom teachers (all grade levels), administrators and education leaders, technology leaders and IT staff, edtech coaches, and library media specialists.

What We Publish

We publish lively, insightful content that provides real-world examples, clear strategies, and practical tips. In other words, we’re interested in content that’s both actionable and insightful to its core audience.

We’re especially interested in:

      • Analysis of trends, innovations, and best practices in digital learning
      • How-to articles offering practical advice for technology use in K-12 classrooms
      • Breakdowns of timely topics, with contributions to larger education or technology conversations
      • Success stories from classrooms, schools, and districts
      • Tips for using specific tools, techniques, or technologies

What We Do Not Publish

We work hard to keep our blog timely and relevant to our audiences. Please refrain from submitting any of the following:

      • Sponsored or Promotional Content (ILTPP Vendor Partners interested in contributing to our blog may reach out to iltpp@ltcillinois.org for more information)
      • Research articles, case studies, or literature reviews

Content Guidelines

      • Topic Focus: Content should align with the LTC’s mission and focus areas
      • Original Content: Submissions must be your original work and cannot have been published anywhere else (digitally or in print).
      • Tone & Style: Posts should have a conversational blend of sharp analysis, optimism, and humor, engaging readers with insightful commentary, real-world examples, and a touch of personality.
      • Length: 500-1,200 words

Submission Terms & Conditions

The LTC is committed to showcasing diverse voices and perspectives from within our statewide community. We welcome submissions from educators of all backgrounds, grade levels, and regions, including rural, suburban, and urban communities. We also welcome submissions from all K-12 roles involved in or impacted by edtech, including classroom teachers, administrators, technology leaders, coaches, and library media specialists.

Submitting an article does not guarantee publication. If your post is declined or conditionally accepted, you will be notified.

By submitting your post, you grant the LTC permission the exclusive first right to publish it on our website and promote it through our communication channels. All posts are subject to minor editorial adjustments for clarity, length, and style. Authors receive full credit upon publication.

Submission Process

We’ve made it easy to submit your blog post for consideration. Just follow these simple steps:

Review the Guidelines

Ensure your submission meets length, tone, and audience criteria (see “Content Guidelines” above)

Step 2
Prepare your Submission
  • Document Format: Submit your post as a Google Doc or Microsoft Word file.
  • Author Bio & Headshot: Provide a short (50 words maximum) bio, and a headshot

Review & Approval

Our editorial team will review your post for alignment with our guidelines. We will reach out to you with a response within two weeks, including if revisions are necessary.

Approved posts will be scheduled for publication at our editorial team’s discretion. You will receive a confirmation when a publication date has been set.
