  • Instructional Technology Coach (with Special Education focus) - South Cook

    About the Position

    The Learning Technology Center is hiring an Instructional Technology Coach to work with multiple special education cooperatives as part of the LTC’s Instructional Technology Coach Program. The Instructional Technology Coach is responsible for providing ongoing, embedded coaching and professional learning related to technology and digital learning that enhances teaching practices, students’ engagement, and student learning. The coach will work with LTC staff and the district/cooperative leadership teams to develop coaching plans, support teachers, and build a strong culture around technology integration. 

    In addition to 1:1 coaching, coaches also facilitate small and large group professional learning opportunities; support school and district leadership with technology and digital learning initiatives; and, as needed, contribute to regional and state K-12 educational technology initiatives.

    A background in special education as well as instructional coaching and technology integration is beneficial.

    Location: This position will work within South Cook County. Candidates must be located within driving distance to districts/cooperatives or be willing to relocate.

    Compensation: The salary range is $60,000 – $75,000 and is based on relevant experience and regional norms. This is a 9.5-month position and is eligible for TRS.

    About the Position
    The Learning Technology Center anticipates hiring 5 – 8 Instructional Technology Coaches to work with multiple Illinois school districts as part of the LTC’s Instructional Technology Coach Program. Each Instructional Technology Coach will be assigned one or more school districts in a similar geographic area to provide embedded coaching and support for the teachers, school, and district.

    Instructional Technology Coaches are responsible for providing ongoing, embedded coaching and professional learning related to technology and digital learning that enhances teaching practices, students’ engagement, and student learning. In addition to 1:1 coaching, coaches also facilitate small and large group professional learning opportunities; support school and district leadership with technology and digital learning initiatives; and, as needed, contribute to regional and state K-12 educational technology initiatives.

    Locations: This position will work within the Quincy area, including Adams and Pike counties. Candidates must be located within driving distance to districts or be willing to relocate.
