Cybersecurity for K-12: An Incident Response Writing Workshop

Tue. December 17, 2024 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm CST

Cybersecurity is critical, and a robust incident response plan is essential for every K-12 school (and often required for cyber insurance policies). This workshop empowers tech leaders and IT directors to create a comprehensive plan tailored to their district’s unique needs.

But what exactly is an incident response plan? It’s a formally approved document that guides your organization before, during, and after a suspected or confirmed security incident. It clarifies roles, responsibilities, and key activities, including a contact list of personnel needed during a crisis.

In this workshop, you’ll choose from a variety of templates and collaborate with fellow professionals to develop a customized response strategy. Gain valuable insights from experienced professionals and leave with a draft plan, ready for finalization with your district leadership.
